This hollow, circular prop is designed to aid in stretching, releasing tension, and improving flexibility. In this class, we also integrate Yin Yoga, a passive form of yoga where postures are mainly held sitting or lying down. Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body, unlike dynamic forms that focus on muscle engagement. In this practice, poses are held for three to five minutes, giving the body time to release tension and allowing the tissues to soften. This slower-paced practice encourages deep stretching, relaxation, and a meditative state for the mind.
